• About the band

Resonation are an eight-piece band with a live percussionist, two guitarists, bass, keyboards, drums and a horn section. Within the ranks the band have 3 vocalists providing the sweet harmonies. Performing Reggae, African Jive, and High-life music (all infused with wah wah drenched funky blues), its members hail from a range of different countries making them a truly international band. Influences coming from Grananda, Jamaica, the Phillipines, Scotland, Ireland and England ensure they are never short of global musical inspiration.

Playing a wide mix of both well known covers and hand crafted originals they are guaranteed to get any crowd bouncing. A night with Resonation will leave you feeling their good positive vibrations and leave you drenched in sweat. They're a truly 'live' band who really know how to entertain with fabulous soloists and a rhythm section that can groove with the very very best!

The gigantic update for 2010 is that Resonation have shook loose with their debut studio album.

Now complete, the album has been worth the wait...Impropaganda features 11 tracks of beautifully constructed roots rockin' reggae music.

Impropaganda is available on juno and Itunes Worldwide.

• Planet Gecko Records

The band are working with Planet Gecko Records to promote the release and the creative partnership has been a big success.

Most of the recording was done at the now legendary Calder Recordings (home of the brilliant King Prawn Records), West Yorkshire. Additional overdubs were layered at Planet Gecko Universals (click here for a preview).

It was mastered by genius dub producer Russ 'D' Disciple (Jah Shaka, Afrikan Simba, Alpha and Omega, Mykal Rose of Black Uhuru, and Dan Bowskill). Russ also help create the Dub version at his Backyard Studios and will be working on a full dub version to be released later in 2010.
